BARNABAS
This is Barnabas. He is 15 years old, and his favorite color is red. He excels in English. Barnabas is the youngest of 5 children. His father was a wood cutter, and the only source of money for his family. He became a severe alcoholic and spent all his money on alcohol and had to borrow funds. He acquired heavy debts and the stress led him to commit suicide under a running train. Barnabas later had to go through the pain of seeing his father's decapitated and mangled body. Barnabas was left alone on the streets without proper food or education. When he first came here, Barnabas was unable to concentrate on anything, as he regularly experienced nightmares of his father's death and wet the bed. After much counseling he has been able to come out of this trauma. Barnabas is now sponsored!
